S.T. Wooten Corporation contracted SouthernCross Construction to help build this large car dealership in Durham, NC. SouthernCross Construction installed all the sanitary sewer, storm drainage, and waterline for this project, including one of the largest underground detention systems in Durham county. The system comprised of 5 lengths of 96” CMP totaling 1,800 LF. The 800,000 gal system also had 3 separate dual 96” systems in different locations around the site. The water was treated by 3 large StormTrap vault systems. The excavation for this system was massive as it was 20 feet deep, with half of it in rock. The entire system was backfilled with #57 stone and processed fill.
